Joe Nilsen's Bio:

"The term checkmate is, according to the Barnhart Etymological Dictionary, an alteration of the Farsi phrase “shāh māt” which means, literally, “the King is helpless”.No #newyorklockdown here 🔥#HelloWorld #FirstTweet 💯 pic.twitter.com/Seja6shwUI— Joe Nilsen (@eComCommando) March 28, 2020 Joe Nilsen didn’t know if he would graduate high school until two days before graduation. But it wasn’t because of his test scores. Actually, he aced every single test. It was because of his disinterest in the mundane core curriculum high schools still offer students. High school didn’t inspire him. Passion is a driving force in every venture Joe has embarked on so far. Joe is an all-or-nothing type of person. “It's not that Jeff stops at nothing. It's that when Jeff sets his mind on a goal that he thinks he can achieve, he won’t stop until he’s proven wrong -- or until he achieves it.” -- Joshua Weinstein; Amazon Empire After high school, Joe decided to go to culinary school where he did have passion. He would ultimately become a highly regarded chef. Cooking inspired him. After graduating from The French Culinary Institute in New York City, he went on to work at some of the best restaurants in the world, including two of the most highly regarded restaurants in the world: Jean Georges and Per Se. He appeared on the Food Network, interacting with celebrity chefs regularly, and finished off his culinary journey at Tom Colicchio's Craft restaurant. Family always came first to Joe. He holds his relationship with his family and future plans for a family of his own above all else. Throughout his cooking career, he was constantly conflicted about how he would ever be able to maintain both of his passions indefinitely. One night after a busy Saturday service, he heard one of his senior chefs late at night on the phone with his son. He was apologizing, with such a clear, deep pain in his voice. At this moment, Joe knew without fail that he would have to pack his knife kit away. Then, he picked up a computer. After Joe realized his plan of being a master chef wasn’t going to work out, he needed to find something else that inspired him: Selling. Joe has always been a salesman. He sold sodas out of a backpack when they banned them in school. He sold prom tickets at double price. So, next up? Selling on Amazon. As with every other After experiencing the extreme injustice experienced while selling on Amazon, Joe moved into the world of consulting for other sellers. Through his pioneering approach to technology, his persistence, and his fearless approach to business and life, Joe has helped countless sellers with crippling account issues, developed software that has changed many sellers’ approach to the platform, and much more. Activities: The French Culinary Institute was founded by Dorothy Cann Hamilton in 1984 and has campuses in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. The facilities include professional kitchens for hands-on cooking and baking classes, specialized wine tasting classrooms, a library, theater, and event spaces. This award-winning French Culinary Institute is ranked #3 by College Rankings. Though the school’s focus has always been on traditional French cuisine, the educational approach is to learn French cooking technique in such a way that it is easily applied to the creation of other regional cuisine. While enrolled in the program, students spend 75% of their time in kitchen workshops, and the student-teacher ratio is 12:1. Students are taught the 250 basic building blocks of Western cuisine. Unlike some of the other top culinary schools, FCI classes are small enough to facilitate each student’s personal access to faculty. This prestigious school includes L'Ecole restaurant on the ground floor and features fare from culinary program students, as well as a Culinary Theater that hosts events, forums, and lectures from graduates. The International Culinary Center is also home to FCI Catering & Events, which creates and caters both on and off-premises private events.
